Wernigerode

So, about two weeks before the trip to Wolfsburg mit ROTEX we had a Rotary (notice the y instead of x) trip to Wernigerode with our District Youth Exchange Consellor, Herr Musik. Wernigerode is in the Harz Mountains and it also has a REALLY cool Christmas market (which I didn't take any photos of) This lovely auto that looks like a giant school bus is actually a BIMBEL BAHN and it is really fun (we rode in it on the last day!) Candela, Brett and I on a Castle Canon. (Go RC BALLHOF!)
Mia at the castle.
A pretty view from the castle (featured below)
A CASTLEEEE but I don't know what it's called
This is Herr Musik, our District Youth Exchange Officer, yes, the big man on top of Rotary, and he gave kids piggy back rides.
THE STEAM ENGINE!! We rode this train in the mountains ( it is mentioned below in the Harry Potter Picture)
Me playing king of the hill by myself (I won)
Here is part of the forest we are walking in. That cool striped jacket is actually mine.
Here is a bunch of exchange students having a snowball fight, before Daniel and I dominated.
This is the HARRY POTTER PHOTO. This train is what we rode up into the mountains, and it is a really steam engine
This is part of the forest we went through and you can kind of see part of the train ahed on the corner.
Some houses that looked scenic on the train ride.
This is a funny story: we had to be in our rooms at 11 and we were bored so we talked to other rooms thru the outlet pluggin things...it was hilarious.
So, I hope that was enjoyable, it was short, but there were alot of pictures, so there for it balanced out!

Wolfburg Rotex : Auto Stadt

First of all, sorry for not updating in so long...making a blog seemed really cool, but I am a little lazy with it and need more prompting, especially since I can't spell in english any more and it takes a while to write. For our second Rotex Weekend we got to go to Wolfburg in the Auto Stadt, which is pretty much the headquarters of Volkswagen. The photo below is a really really old car and me, and yes, I am wearing the MO flag as a cape. This picture is unfortunately sideways, but it is the collest looking, officially most expensive car in the world. There were 8 large men inside this building at all times guarding it. It however can't be actually driven becuase if the light reflected off the amazing paint job it would blind you inside the car AND the fellow drivers around you. I was dissapointed
This is out of order, but was at the beginning of our trip into the AutoStadt, and it is just me with the Rotex Flag
Every one should know that I want a Saab '86 in Teal and Mangenta, I have since this trip changed my mind and instead I want this scooter, it is AWESOME.
This was a cool tacky car in the middle of all the awesome ones. Kind of similar to the '86 Saab.
That was a short overview of my weekend in Wolfsburg. We also went ice skating and had a Christmas Costume Party, but those things are not cultural to Germany so I didn't include them and we can all look at the photos when I get home :)
